Description
Capsicum oleoresin 0.04% w/w (equivalent to Capsaicin 0.025%).
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Glycerin, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Partially Hydrolyzed Polyvinyl Alcohol, Sorbitol, Carbomer, Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium (Carmellose Sodium), Edetate Sodium, Aluminum Hydroxide, Partially Neutralized Polyacrylate, Methacrylic Acid and Butyl Acrylate copolymer, Malic Acid, Butylparaben, Methylparaben, Water.
Indications/Uses
For adults and children 12 years of age and older. For fast temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backache, arthritis, strains, bruises and sprains.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Strip off the polyethylene backing film and cover the affected area with the pad. Pad may be cut with scissors for small areas such as fingers. Fix it in place if necessary with adhesive tape. Apply patch to affected area not more than 3-4 times daily and for no longer than 1-2 hours per application.
Warnings
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
If rash or irritation occurs discontinue use. If condition worsens, or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, discontinue use of this product and consult a health care practitioner. The application of external heat, such as an electric heating pad, may result in excessive skin irritation or skin burn. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not bandage. Do not apply to wounds or damaged skin. As with any drug, if the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding seek advice of a healthcare practitioner before using the product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use in children under 12 years of age. If overdose or accidental ingestion occurs, call a Poison Control Center immediately. Rashes and/or burning discomfort have been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Hypersensitivity has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Do not leave on skin for more than 8 hours.
